Outboard wing attach nutplates --- This section is under construction. I thought I would through these pictures up here to give you a sense of what is to come. If you need this information, drop me an email and I will update this page.
The bushings have been installed in the main wing spar and the outboard wing spar, and now it is time to fabricate and install the nut plates for the outboard wing bolts. These bolts are of the AN6-27 and the length may vary for your installation. I used a AN6-27a (3/8” 2.4” long) and a AN6-30a (3/8” 2.5” long). The nut plate will be located in the fuel bay so extra care is required to not sacrifice the integrity of our fuel cells.
First fabricate the nut plate. A AN363-624 nut is welded to a 2” square 1/16“ thick mild steel plate. Four holes for number 10 screws are drilled at the corners as shown in the photo below.
