Appendix 1 - Mandatory Alternative Construction
Section 1 - Aileron Control tube Mounting
The aileron Control system has been redesigned to improve the adverse yaw handling and balance the control forces with the stick travel. The outboard Aileron Control tube MUST attach to the bottom of the aileron idler sharing the same bolt as the inboard aileron control tube. In addition a 1/8" aluminum spacer should be installed between the D rib and the top aileron bellcrank bracket. This will properly align the bellcrank to the lower position of the outboard aileron control tube. This will require the outboard aileron control tube to pass through the C rib lower than previously. The templates below can be used to relocate this hole. Use a piece of 1/2" last-a-foam to fill the old hole and cover with a single layer BID on each side extending at least an 1" onto the rib. Locate the new hole and finish the exposed foam edges with Micro.
